i know that the sa10 was a very rare car, but i was hoping there was a company that made reproductions of this hood. it looks like a standard 1.5" cowl hood, but has some louvers on the side. similar to the steeda louvered 3.5" cowl, but it blended with the saleen bodykit better

i was planning on making a clone of this hood if there arent any hoods available. but the less work the better

Like you said the SA=10 hood is hard to come by. Not really sure if there is an after market hood out there. I have a friend in Colorado who has one hanging in his garage and he has had so many offers to sell it. He has been offered some big money for it and he will not part with it. Good luck on your hunt.

You'll probably have to make one yourself. Those are ultra rare and since there was only 9 original SA10 cars made, there's no interest in the hood by the aftermarket.

from what ive been told, there were only 10. sequential vin's from saleen/ford, and all black with yellow. however, only 9 are accounted for.(or so ive been told)

hey, maybe the tenth is one thats missing a hood, since your friend is hiding it in his garage.


anywho, i decided to make my own. the SA10 hooddoesnt have a cowl. its the factory hood with added louvers. im planning on a trickflow intake, and will need a little bit more clearance. i have decided on a cervini 1.5 inch cowl(barely noticeable) and then run some sort of small louver. if needed, i can run 2001 grand prix GTP hood louvers..just molded into the hood

lots of work, but i want it to take home trophies for its looks as well for its performance
