AS for horsepower and torque numbers, I want to get the above part and also upgrade to a 70mm throttle body, 24 lb injectors, and a 76mm C&L MAF. Then after that I want to get a 3000 stall and a B&M hammer shifter. Then I will be happy! AS for now, still beats my friend's 95 mildly modded GT and his brother's 2004 SRT-4 Neon, which runs really low 13s.

Nice low 13?! that's real good you get that stall converter and you will be lovin life. Once you get your numbers please let me know I hope they good for both of our sakes (I'm thinking of going with a combo similar to yours)

i installed a transgo shift kit when i had an aod
it really made a difference
my shift points at WOT moved up 1000 rpm.
i was able to make that thing scream
i wish i would've gotten a better converter though
My combo will be similar... i have a set of never dressed 93 cobra heads, 1.7 rr, plan on getting the e303 cam, cobra upper and lower.....of course first im buying a rebuilt block.. the recent sale of my 95 pontiac yielded me $1400 so ill be able to do the mods all at once. The only difficulty is finding the time.

I guess I wanted to know about the gt40, explorer/cobra intake, and 303 cam combo and perhaps some other affordable combos.
That combo would yield about 280rwhp/300rwtq with a tune but you can do better than that. I suggest the AFR165 heads, Explorer/Cobra GT40 intake ported by tmoss, and the CompCams 270HR-14 cam. Should get you near 310rwhp/340rwtq with a tune.

I'm getting a leak down test done pretty soon to determine if I can put a H/C/I combo on my engine as it is or if I need to do something else. Pending those results I think I will go with the gt 40 combo unless I can find a good deal on something else. Also later I might want to get a stroker kit would there be any clearance issues with either of those combos? Thanks for the feedback
