I test drove an 08 GT stock before I settled on my maxima for my DD. I was not impressed my 90 felt like it pulled harder for some reason I don't know why maybe its the gears and the push rod engine?

With your setup ,you should have had a good chance or at least being respectable competitor.
If theirs was stock, shouldn't be a bad run at all.
I have ran & beaten one on a redlight run.
I am mildly setup, not far from stock.
