The wheels are 18x8 and 18x9's... so 245/40's up front and 275/35's out back.

I didn't flip the quad shocks or roll the fender lips when I had a 94-98 rear axle in it. The tires cleared perfectly all around with it. I have SVO/Lincoln Mark VII rear axles in it now because I wanted the wheels further out. The wheels have a very deep backspacing and I did have to roll the fenders when I went to the SVO/Lincoln rear axle.

personally, i wouldnt go any larger than a 17" wheel. especially on an LX. some 18's look okay on GT's and SVT's due to the bodykit making the wheelwell look larger(longer from top to bottom)

im dealing with this problem also. i'd like to get an 18" wheel on there, but having issues finding one that blends in

Yours is one of the few that looks good with 18s. It has the perfect stance to go with them, and they are a modest looking 5 spoke wheel. They look like they could be a factory option on a modern car.

I'm torn! I came into the thread saying 17's, but after looking at all those pretty 18's... I can't decide. I say go with whatever you like the best . I'll probably be going 17x8's and 17x9's when I do the five lug conversion.

Hey, just reading a few of the posts here. A friend of mine has a 1988 Mustang GT. He WANTED to put a 20" rims on it. Is that even possible without modifications?
