Default Biggest rims on a foxbody

What are the biggest wheels you can put on a fox body without losing performance. i thought it was 17's, but I'm starting to see a lot of people with 18's on the fox bodies. Even though I would not do it I even see some people with 20's on foxes. So whats your guys take on rims size what is the biggest wheel without losing that much performance, also what is the widest tire you can put on a fox. I thought it was 275, but I saw a guy with 315's yesterday. I don't now how he got them on I know he had to cut the quad shock, but he said they didn't rub.

Here is one with 20's on it

some people say that for handling purposes 18 is all you should go. but remember most larger rims also weigh more then your stockers.

Anything bigger than 17's doesn't look right to me. 18's give it an odd look, here's a 1993 LX with 18's.

It depends on the backspacing of the wheel. in the back A 17 x 9 at 5.72 bs should be fine. The fronts are pretty tight with a 17 x 9, but I've heard that if you have cast camber plates you can make it work...

But can I put larger than a 275 tire in the back on 17 x 9 tire. I've heard of people olling the fenders and flipping the quad shocks what do you guys think about a 295/40 on 17x9 inch rims in e back only. I'm going skinny in the frint probably 235/35. i have a 17 X8 in the front.

I think for the majority of wheels 17's are the ones that look the best. However, there are a few in 18" that I like. Mostly the top dollar wheel companies like Fikse, CCW, HRE, and the Plasma RK's. I've got 18's on mine and really love the way it looks.
