The FRPP brake conversion kit is from the 87-88 T-bird Turbo Coupe. You will need to change the Booster to the '93 Cobra unit, gut the stock proportioning valve and add an external prop valve for the rear.

It also depends on what wheels you're intending on using.

Check out the SSBC kit. I have it on my 87 Gt. Its 4 lug and uses the Turbocoupe rear disks. Plus I have the slotted front rotors

Let me know if you need the item #'s for the kit. I have them at home.

I also have an SSBC kit, except my kit was four lug to five lug 4-wheel discs with the upgraded rotors etc. My "beater" can be seen here:1979 Ford Mustang LX - 5-Lug Axle Swap - Four No More - 5.0 Mustang & Super Fords Magazine

I also did the Thunderbird rear disc conversion. I'm not happy with the braking, from what I've read here sounds like the 93 brake booster will fix it up.

7-UP - I've been searching for an article on how to replace the brake booster, but havn't come up with anything. Do you happen to have a link?

I apologize for the small hijack, it's related at least.

Have you guys had your rear brakes moan / groan since doing the conversion? I had anti moan brackets fabricated and it helped a lot. But still there are times when these brake make that annoying noise when stopping; usually when slowly rolling to a stop. Any thoughts?

thanks in advance,

Jorge

If you pull the pin under dash and loosen the four bolts it comes right out. Then just take your time and you can get the 93 in w/ out beating. I think you have to come up from the bottom. Cant remember if that requires the steering rod to be taken apart.

I bought mine @ northracecars.com and got mine. $220 w/ needed e-brake kit. You can get the rest of the parts from the parts store. My kit only cost $500.
