By the way. great build!!!! i recently sat and read the WHOLE story from the beginning. glad to see it coming together. alot of builds like this end up getting put off for 5 years. keep up the good work. i wish my girl would help me with my car. atleast she sits and watches and keeps me company though.

Nicer as far as LOOKS/COSMETICS yes....but as far as engine internals the STOCK 2V SUCKS, imo and I'm not ready to pull apart and replace a 2V engine with only 60K miles on it
Your obviously more into looks than performance and mechanical reliability
It's all good don't take it the wrong way...I just out grew my 267RWHP on my new edge and needed a bit more, ok a lot more
Well your to late I got the Nitto's but the next time around Ill get the M/T's. Matter of fact still gotta get some for my 2000GT.
But anyways, good to see ya. I'll be in Oklahoma tomarow night through Sunday.
- Ideas on Dyna Matting the interior what ya think-
I'm thinking trunk to the firewall, roof, and parts of the rear quarter area
Hey Pete! So you're coming back through Okie town today?
I've been talking to guys here at the track in Noble about drag radials. From what I've gathered, the M/T's are much better for grip, but the Nitto's will last longer and not a bad tire.
Why would you Dyna-Mat the roof of the car???
Are you just doing it for the system?
I was looking at your most recent pics....
Are you going to use the stock K-member or going with a tubular aftermarket K-member??? I can't remember if you covered that or not.
BTW- sorry, I've been kinda neglecting your thread. But it's coming along great, and you have an amazing wife to be so WILLING to help with the project.
My wife helps sometimes but usually isn't so willing...

We are sticking with the stock K-member. We thought about going tubular, but..... ya know.
I am trying to keep the whole project moving towards completion at this point. The alternative is sticking the whole kit and caboodle in a storage unit and paying out the A$$ for the next 5 years. UMMMM...not just no but HELL NO!!!
That would cut into the budget for the finishing of the car....LOL. Plus I want to get the chance to drive it around town before the kids and I head to Cali. Gotta show the hours and hours and hours of shoulder breaking work off for at least a couple of weeks.
Besides, Pete gets an itchy gas-pedal foot from time to time, so I would really like to be the one driving during break in.

Yeah I went with the Nitto's for the longevity.
Anyways, yep I''m back in town. If you and your wife wanna drive down tommarow night, then again Noble is probubly going to be open huh?, I gots pork ribs, beef ribs, and all the good stuff to go with a BBQ food will be ready at 6 and you can come hang out, pick up and wrench, lol and put an A arm on or something lol
- as far as stereo nothing to big of a deal, no subs and just something a decent, I'm more into the sound of the exhaust, but just wanted to mat the car to make it a little more quieter for the long highway trips etc. and to lower the level of squeks and such but I don't know I might just not do it and be fine

You invitin' me and my wife to come to a cook out down there in Lawton? That's a pretty far drive, but if you're inviting us just send me a PM and we'll see what's going on!
As for the dyna mat. I don't see any reason to do the roof of the car. I would do the trunk area, the floor pan, and the firewall if you want a quiet ride.
I actually find myself driving with the windows down, radio off and just listening to the exhaust. I never realized I did that until one day my friend got in the car and said "do you ever listen to your radio?!". LoL, truth is I really don't listen to it much! My exhaust is the only note that get's me going!

You gotta love the look of a car with those wide tires on the back. It just looks MEAN!
How many of those Bullitt wheels do you have? I counted 6 in the one photo!
