Yesterday was good I guess even though it's x-mas time people still have money. lol
- guy drove up from Dallas and bought my rims and tires
- The Black LX sold. The jacked up thing, is I went to close the hood and low and behold, the hood latch won't engage. As in the latch won't lock into the down position. So I am figuring it needs a new, used one. So I have to get one and put it on for him in the morning.
Other than that hope ya'll are having a good weekend.

Are you using the stock hood on the black LX? The latch might just need a little adjusting.
Glad you got those sold. I had a guy that was wanting pics of the wheels, but I'll tell him "tough cookies".
It's too cold here to enjoy my weekend. The cold weather always makes me re-think my smoking habbit.

***thanks Dave
It was or is an aftermarket Stormin Norman knock off. When I pushed the latch down itself, it just would not catch and lock. The guy had the fever real bad though he came by 2 hours ago and said he'd drive it home slow.....lol So I am going to go over and install his latch as soon as it gets here.
We both smoke, and we have never smoked in the house...so nowadays we just go out to the garage and plug the heater in. But on a side note, for me, Ill take the cold outside anyday as opposed to smoking outside and hoping there are no mortar rounds going to start raining down. lmao
Well were heading out to go eat Chineese celebrate saving insurance money on one less car whoooohoooo

When I put my Cervinis hood on, everything fit perfectly, but I did have to adjust my latch just a little bit. After I did that it works just fine.
I've never smoked in any of my houses either. But you make a good point... Cold weather is nothing compared to unsuspecting mortar rounds. You're safe here bud!

Some updated paint pics. The rest of the car is "painted" As much as needs to be for now. The fenders and hood will stay behind at the body shop, while the rest of the car is taken to to the craft shop on post to begin dropping the motor, and drivetrain, wiring into.
My install kit, driveshaft, clutch(which I still might exchange for a Spec or Centerforce) came yesterday
But for now, here are a couple pics. Later the car will go back to get the wing, hood, fenders reattached, ground effects and both bumpers after the car is "running", if that makes sense
This is a really great story to follow. I think most of the people on this forum (including me) would love to be doing a project like this. Can't wait to see the end result
i've been quite on my thread cause I kinda hit a point of straight frustration.....I don't know how many more bottles of crown it's going to take but I'll post in the next few days......see ya next year

Well, it's the new year and I'm finishing my 1/2 Gal of Crown tonight. I'm back in the saddle for a brief time as it relates to posting on this thread. I will eleborate more tommarow(sp). As for now the creative juices are flowing. My wife will start to take over on this thread and run withit, AFTER, I fix her avatar. I'm going to go get some some ink tommarow afternoon on my arm, if they have space available...which I'm sure they will. So seriously, I'm sorry I haven't been very much of a post-it in the last couple days on my own thread, but sometimes ya just gotta take a break and re- focus.
*** to FEEN and REGGIE, my wife is b**Chn because, "why can't we have neighbors like them!!" I agree, and to everyone else who follows the thread and has PM'd me.........

HAPPY NEW YEAR
It be pretty cool to have neighbors like some of the people on this site. Someone to share the hobby with...
Anyways... I love this thread. I love seeing a project coming along. And don't worry, these things just take time. There's going to be times where things are flying at you then times where nothing's really happening. It took me and my dad 5 years total to complete our '34, and it seems like there's still stuff to do with it.
What's even cooler is that your wife is so enthused about the project! I've been trying to teach my wife for so long, but... ya know....
But definitely keep us posted!
