I have a 1986 5.0L block and the cambearings was line bored to fit a hydraulic roller cam, the cam that is in there is a comp cam part #31-442-8. Comp cams says its not for an HO block and only carb applications, this motor will be carbeurated. Will this cam work or not?

that cam is a small circle cam .....

it retrofit motor not originally equiped with a roller cam....

so not that will not work in your motor......
