Default Problems with Flooding or Loading Up at Idle

I have a 92 5.0 that I have been working on and just put GT40 heads on it and an Explorer Gt 40 Upper and Lower. Now it smokes out the drivers side exhaust pretty bad and the the other side also. If I let it set for a few seconds at Idle it smokes bad. Also when I get on it it smokes bad, Flooding Bad, it will burn your Eyes. Can You HELP?

What color is the smoke? Are there any driveability issues? Is it running the stock cam? If its 'flooding' start by looking at the spark plugs wires, cap and rotor, look for vacuum leaks, check the timing, and check the compression. Black smoke usually means too rich, blue is oil, and white/grey is coolant.

I have a F303 Cam and the smoke is a gray bluish but the motor has just been rebuilt about 4000 miles ago. It didn't smoke or anything until I put these heads on it. I have approx. 40 lbs fuel pressure on it . Could this be part of it? I dont have an adjustable fuel regulator yet but I'm going to get one. Also I have the stock 19lb fuel injectors in it.

Im sorry, but bluish/grey sounds like oil.

Its tiem to pull your plugs and see what they can tell you, specifically on the drivers side.

Would installing the head gaskets incorrectly cause the problems he's describing?

Yup, having head gaskets installed incorrectly can let all kind of fluids in the cumbustion chamber.

It would overheat in no time if the head gaskets were installed backward. Your lower intake manifold gaskets, if out of position can suck oil into the intake ports from under the intake. I'd blame those first. Apparently it has to do with your installation since it wasn't smoking before. Did you apply any adhesive to the intake gaskets to keep them in position when installing?
