Nice clean pics, but word from the wise: Wrap those wires w/ some fiberglass sleeves where they are close to the headers. Your wires will be stuck to plugs and tear when you try to take off if you dont and they will be waisted if they touch. By the way are you leaking around your filler neck? Hate to see that nice clean engine get dirty!
Very nice... is that just engine enamel you used to paint everything? I plan on doing a red/black color scheme i got a dupli color enamel, and i was wondering if its the same red cause that looks good.

Cheers guys. I saw a couple of cars in the summer with fancy wire looms and couldn't resist adding it to the list of winter mods.
Good eye on the leak. There was a leak as the cap wasn't tight at some point in the summer. I had to spend an hour last weekend cleaning up all the oil that had splattered all over the place. Guess I missed a bit - I'll fix that
The previous owner sprayed the car, MarkVII, so I'm not sure what he used. The whole car is that colour red - including underneath - but he used something different in the engine bay and under the car. It must be some kind of enamel because it's tough as hell. I'm pretty sure that I could run a key across it and it wouldn't do much damage.
Engine bay looks awesome. I am also wanting to dress up my engine bay the same way, red & black. Looks pretty simple.
Yeah, it's definitely a good idea to wrap your plug wires. You can find some in Jegs. Or you might look on EBAY!!!

Im doing something Ive never seen before... im gonna tape off the creases in the upper and paint black, then tape the rest and paint the creases red....
Is that too dorky?

What kind of intake??
That's funny because I was just sitting here pondering that...
I have a GT40 intake and was thinking about painting the whole thing black and the "creases" red... or vice versa...
I think it would look pretty good.
I found this.
Except I would paint the "creases" in the bigger part (I don't know what to call it...) red.

Just have to take my time, and hopefully it will come out the first time...
Does anyone know if I could find something like engine enamel in a paint can so I can use a brush for the creases? The Dupli color cans have too wide of a spray nozzle...
