Default Anyone driving 225/50-17's

Anyone fitted this size on foxbody? I think they should perform best on 17x7,5 wheel on daily driver!?!? Not too wide so no rubbing should appear but firmer ride than 225/60-15.

I haven't seen that size before but it should be fine to use. They shouldn't rub anywhere.

No I have 5.0 GT hatchback. What's wrong in 225's? Too narrow? I am not going to autocross with it or any other racing.

I'm running 255 40 17's on an 83 GT with no issues. This is on a 10" rim.
Compare the height to yours and this should give you a good idea of fitment.

So I had to get 225/50's to try them. That's how they look. In front they do rub slightly to body panel in front of the fender when turning right. This was a surprise because the diameter isn't that much taller than stock. Rear tire could be even taller, maybe 235/50 or 225/55...

As long as the rubbing isn't excessive, can you live with it?
Wheels look good.
