That's awesome man! I'm in the process of restoring my 95 as well. She had been in an accident when i bought her now she's back on the road and roarin! I'll be doing a p/p on my heads and intake probably this summer. And I've already got a 347 stroker and upgraded cam. Keep in touch bro! I'd love to see how that car ends up and what kind of power it will be putting down.

Where did you get the seats from?
Sounds like you're having fun with it.
Is it running good?

thank you. this car is very important to me. it was given to me as a gift from my grandpa a few months before he passed away. i told him when i got i was going to fix it up and come back out to his house and beat is 94 z28(his other baby lol) he had extensive work done to both my car and his camaro. i had been asking him for either one of them since i turned 16 and right before my 18th bday i went out there and he handed me the keys to his cobra. it was one of the best days of my life, not to mention it made my dad a bit jealous lol

my over all goal for this car is to have it look as stock as possible outside(except new hood) and interior too. but the engine i plan on buying an edelbrock topend kit and thats about it. For now im just getting a rebuild, my heads and intake ported along with a new cam. im gonna go to school to be a mechanic and hopefully by the time i buy the topend kit(atleast 5-6 years) i can do it myself.

I like the idea of keeping the exterior basically stock. I think since you're car is black you should get a small cowl hood. Nothing big but just a little something, ya know?
There is a guy here in Norman with a '96-'98 black Cobra, he has a small cowl hood and the "duck tail" spoiler and fresh paint. It looks real subtle and mean at the same time. I like it.

There is actually a guy on this website with a hood like that.
I'll see if I can find a pic of his car for ya...

I'm still looking for that guy, but have you thought about the Saleen "heat extractor" hood?
Those look real good, I think they have that "clean" look to 'em...
