Default Oil pressure questions.

A couple of weekends ago, I finally put on a cheapy AutoZone oil pressure gauge and new sending unit.

What should my oil pressure be?
The gauge reads around 50ish PSI on cold start up, idle and driving. But when it warms up it will drop down to about 15ish PSI at idle, then go up to about 50 when driving again...

I figure it's ok since I still have some pressure at warm idle but good pressure when driving.

What do yal think?

worn or loose cam bearings will cause this. no big deal. as long as it goes up with RPMs.

Yeah, that's kinda what I figured. I thought it might have been the pump though, who knows.
But yeah, it gets plenty of pressure while driving, even in low RPMs while driving it's pretty steady at 50 PSI.
I'm rebuilding the engine this coming spring anyways so I should be good til then.

Thanks for the help guys!

That sounds normal for an engine with normal miles. If it went to zero, then you'd have a problem but 15 isn't a problem.
