 Matto's 5.0l Conversion thread
Never thought I would be saying this, but I guess it's time for a 5.0L conversion on my 89 2.3L 5speed. I took it to the strip yesterday just messing around, ended up ******* up the water pump, the watched some races shortly relised that I am going to junk the 2.3L and start fresh with a 5.0L.
So here is what I have to work with as of right now, a 1989 Ford Mustang 2.3L 5speed with some minor modification's done to it now. It does need some body work, how ever I beleive everything is fix able on it. As for modification's it's got Hood Pin's, Sony Xplod cd player, Sony Xplod 6.5" speakers, 95lph fuel pump, painted rear bumper letter's and some other stuff. I really wanted to turbo it but when I seen the 14.8 stock automatic 5.0L Mustang I just really had to have one.
I don't want to any mayjor mod's to the engine it self, just the do the basic Engine swap because I just want to have something fast.
So anyone have any link's or anything to tell me step by step how to do it? Also anyone know of any kit's they sell for the swap. I am only 17 with no job yet, so I kinda need to keep it cheap. If anyone has any spare part's they will ship let me know.
