BBK Long Tube Headers

I just installed today the 1 5/8 " ceramic coated Long tubes and short h pipe (off-road). Car now is quieter than before because of the poor flange to head sealing problems that I had. Very nice response from 3k and up,I am glad I made the switch. Completed the install in 2 and a half hours at work.

Dude When I put mine on with a o/r x pipe it got out a ton louder.
This thing can wake the dead.
What kinda of mufflers are you running?

And there's a lot of people who'd like to know how you got it done in 2 1/2 hours. There's some who take 2 1/2 days to do it.

Mine got quite a bit louder. It has a low rumble at idle and screams when the throttle is wide open!

They aren't that hard to put on, maybe 2 1/2 days if you are working a full time job those two days.

I think if you try to weasel through it without taking stuff off than maybe it takes a while. I put my 1 3/4 BBK Longs in my garage, took maybe part the day, you just have to remove the starter, maybe the air-injection stuff, and jack up the motor.

duh? What are you 2?

If you would have read the 1st post would would have seen I to have them and said it was louder...DUH

I dosent take long to do them. It took 6 and a half hours to do the long tubes and and new clutch. 2 and a half hours can be done!

Eagle, I've been turning wrenches professionally for 28 years. Helps to have a lift and a post jack... I had garbage aftermarket headers before the install,they sounded shitty. I have dynomax mufflers now, lost alittle power but can hear the radio now after tossing the flowmasters w/ dumps.

Cool you have the lift and post jack. I've been turning wrenches myself since 1990 and before that as a helper.
