Default door molding fell off

OK over the summer the door molding came off of my mustang. I think it was starting to come off and someone helped it out. My problem is it has been off for about 6 months and when I was looking at putting it back on today it looks like it shrunk about an inch in length. I haven't driving the car in over a year and it is kept in a garage, but it has been really cold where I live. Could the cold weather made the molding shrink?

Could be the cold, it could be drying out. Have you looked into new moldings from late model restoration supply 50resto.com

Those are not an exact fit and can be put back on w/ automotive double sided tape.

It could be the cold, they can go back on with the 3M tape.
