Default Thoughts on Paxton NOVI 1220SL

I am looking at putting a super charger on my '92 LX. I am not wanting a huge blower, I am just looking for a little extra kick in the A$$. I will eventually get a DSS 306, but for now I am planning on running the stock bottom end with the HCI combo I already have.

Looking for experience thoughts / recommendations, and pros and cons on Paxton and the NOVI 1220SL supercharger.

Thanks.

You can get a Vortech for a couple more days for $1600. I you buy it from Jegs you can send the extra parts back for more $ back. Paxtons arent bad heard alot of bad things about Powerdyne but Vortechs are good too and cheap.

Vortech makes Paxton so they are basically the same thing.

The Novi SL and Vortech V-3 gear cases (self lubed) are great. There have not been any problems with them. I wish they were out when I got my blower a few years ago.

Contact Bob Kurgan (bob@kurganmotorsports.com) and he can get you the best pricing on a Vortech or Paxton and make a recommendation as to which blower will suit your present and future needs.

Either unit will work, and would be enough power for most. I like the self contained units over the ones that make you punch a hole in your pan.

Thanks for the imput. I did not realize Vortech made a self contained unit now...and they are cheaper from everywhere I have looked. I think I see a blower in my future!
