Hello i have an 86 GT and have been experiencing a vibrating issue under acceleration. Under any type of accelleration the car vibrates like crazy. The only gear it does not vibrate in is first gear. If i Push in the clutch and rev it up it does not vibrate. It also Vibrates under deaccelaration. I have been told it is a pilot bearring or a bearring near the input shaft. So i am in the process of dropping he tranny. I also have noticed before the vibration started the rear end would not lock up under load it will only spin the RR Wheel.

Is there anthing i should check while i have it out?
Do you guys also agree that that is what is causing my vibraing problem?

What can i do to fid the rear end? I plan on replacing the fluid and addin friction modifier.

be shure to check your u joints , may be tight , will need to remove drive shaft to test, big G

Does it vibrate when sitting still and you rev it?

I Dont think it is the drive shaft. The U-Joints look and feel fine and it does not vibrate when it is sitting still. Only when it is in gear. I have the Drive Shaft out and have dropped the exhaust. I hope to pull the tranny tomorrow and find the problem.
