Default under floor mats is soaked cant figure?

i was cleaning my 90 mustang earlier an pulled the floor amts out an the passenger side in the front is soaking wet the drivers is a little wet cant figure out where its coming from nothing is wet except under the mats? any suggestions????

crawl under check the tranny tunnel make sure theres no rust, then check behind wheel wells?

my guess is a guess hole,,,when i removed my extra carpet padding an sound deadner i found a small penny sized hole(that i fixed) that would get my carpet wet....even though my car shows no rust anywhere doesnt mean the may be a small spot also

It sounds to me like your heater core is leaking...

cleaning as in you washed the outside too if so it could be coming in through the door seals

Heater core is a good bet could also be the windshield seal. Unless it has a sunroof then one of the drains could be clogged or leaking.

If it was heater core, you'd surely smell the antifreeze. That is, assuming you have antifreeze in your cooling system. Also, a water/antifreeze mix has a kind of greasy feel to it.

pull the plastic windsheild cowl sometimes they will rust under there......

I think it's probably the windshield seal, since both sides are wet and it doesn't stink.

i have a 91 lx at the top of the doors it leaks near the back at the weather stripping and the door it will drip onto the carpet but nothng else will be wet , might check there i here that there was a problem with the doors not sealing good around the top ,i've had mine since it was new and have always had problems there even after replacing the weather stripping
