I heard that they really were great. But from what I heard was on the SN95 and up. Never heard anything from a Fox owner
Same basic engine, same basic transmission, same shifter= should have same results...

I use the MGW and love it! I switched from stock a few months ago and I have to admit that I was a little disappointed at first - very stiff and notchy feeling - but after I got it broken in, this thing is like a hot knife to butter. You cannot miss a gear - it nearly shifts for you! Also the craftsmanship is outstanding! I drove a buddy's cobra w/ a MAC shifter. It was ok, but I wouldn't trade mine for anything. MGW FTW!

My vote is for something other than the Tri-Ax. I still use it because that's what I have right now. However, it does miss 3rd sometimes and the shift from first to second is anything but smooth. It ALWAYS wants to stop (or hesitate) in the neutral position between first and second. Considering the UPR shifter at this point but sounds like some good feedback on the Pro 5.0 too.

Hey Pat, if you ever put your hands on a Pro 5.0 shifter you'd swear the Ford company was on crack when they or Borg Worner designed it...the difference is incredible, the factory pos is sloppy and has long throws, you'll miss almost any gear at any time, the Pro 5.0 shifts faster, has shorter crisp throws and never misses a shift...it is the best $179 you'll ever spend on your standard shift Mustang...the Steeda Tri Ax pales in comparison, it's better than stock, but the Pro 5.0 is clearly the Gold medal winner
Yea with my stock shifter i would sometimes miss gears, but i switched to a pro 5.0 and i love it. I've heard the MGW was pretty sweet thought too because you can change it around.

This is the shift handle I just removed from my car.It was actually a great handle, but I got another adjustable handle when I got the Hurst shifter. This one could be adjusted to about any position one could want. Not bad....
