Just ordered an MGW last night. Kinda weird how they're second to last in this poll, but I think its just 'cause not alot of people have used them. I literally could not find any review which pointed out something wrong about the MGW... it's supposed to be just as smooth and accurate at getting into gear without any of the loud noise and daily drivablity issues of other shifters. Hopefully I'll get it in the mail by the time I get home from Jamaica so I can put it in and test it out, till then its red stripe's on the beach and relaxation see you guys when I get back!
I just threw in a steeda tri ax on my ride and I really like it. Feels precise and I love that the handle is adjustable. I really liked my pro 5.0 but my only gripe was having to reach forward for the shift. You can't go wrong with either one I think.

Just Put a Steeda Tri-Ax on my 90 convertible. I love the feeling. Wayyyy better then stock, nice firm engagement not slopy like the stock shifter. Gotta love the way the shifter sits now, nice and low put in the right spot. One of the best upgrades I've done
I went from the stock shifter to the pro 5.0 shifter and it was night & day but at it was a bit notchy but after it broke in its so smooth you somtimes think that missed the gear and you will never miss 3rd again if i am in 2nd i can just put my palm on the shifter an push up and it will finde 3rd for you it helps you become a better driver becuse you dont have worrie about shifting just driving just my 2 cents
just got done installing the Pro 5.0, it gets rid of the sloppy feeling and knows exactly where it needs to go, you defenitly wont miss 3rd. and its really fun.. haha my vote is for the pro 5.0

i never tried the pro 5.0 but, i had a steeda tri ax in mine and one day i slammed it straight for the dash and it went right into third due to the monster centering springs lol i had the stock then the b&m hated the b&m LOVED the tri ax....

I just installed my Pro 5.0 the other day and I love it. Short and crisper shifts over stock and the shifter doesn't shake when driving like the stock one did. The spring offset mechanism makes catching 3rd effortless. This is however the only aftermarket shift I have ever tried.

Maybe this could be your tranny itself, synchros not up to the high rpm shifts? Just a thought. I would change the tranny fluid, this will help the transmission itself shift smoother.
I just purchased a 5.0 because I tryed out a friend my friends and man third gear is sweet

my friend and I were at the track last fri, and he often missed on third gear. Yes, he is inexperienced at racing on the track, but unfortunatly he has raced on the street for quite some time.
My question is, how can i find out if it is his fault or the shifters for missing third. Btw, he uses a hurst.
