Stock gauge cluster, 1990 Mustang GT

So I have a 1990 GT and the guy who had it before me put in the white face cobra over lays. Only problem is he screwed up the needles so none of them read right. Anybody know how i could go about getting a stock (unmollested) gauge cluster? Or maybe I should just run some aftermarket gauges? Any suggestions would be very appreciated. haha

You should be able to find stock gauges just about anywhere, you could try MPS or Prestige for some.

When I bought my car it also had the white face gauges, and the speedo reads incorrectly. The speedo needle bounces around erratically until ~25, then it smooths out but the MPH reading is way off. I know I'm going ~70 when the needle is in between 55 and 60. I have replaced my speedo cable and made sure everything is hooked up in the tranny correctly, but I still can't figure out the problem. I have 4.10s in the rearend and 17in rims which I haven't had corrected, but I still can't figure out why the needle bounces around so erratically. All of my electric gauges work fine.

Same guy must have done my white gauges also.
My speedo is at 15mph at a dead stop. I dont understand why people get so bent on making something look better that all they do is make it look worse. Kinda like when you see a paint job with overspray all over the muffler. Kinda defeats the purpose of trying to make something look better.

the needle will bounce around erratically like that if your speedo cable is getting worn and/or not connection to everything correctly...

2004 White V6 - sold
2000 Green GT - totaled
1999 Green V6 'Vert - sold
1990 Black GT - sold
1990 Red LX - sold
2003 Grey GT - sold
1991 Blue LX 5.0 - really more of a pile of parts at this point...

Ya mine bounces around a lot too. Im guessing he was supposed to have marked where the needles were when he pulled them since they're set from the factory? My temp gauge reads 150 when the car is dead cold too. I hate when people mess up cars. haha

Yup, found a couple on there. Kind of a dumb question.............but on these cars will the temp gauge stay at whatever temp the car was when it was shut off? Just noticed that one of the clusters on ebay has the temp gauge at about 150. Just wondering............
