only if you are storing them for an extended period of time.....
Ok, cool. Just checking...

I just laid the crank like that for the pic. It stays bungee corded to the stairs in the full upright position...
Krrast, we all will get a chance soon to hear this thing run.. and see it run too. I'm expecting to make about a 5 minute video at least of this thing and possibly try to do some type of first start video maybe start filming when I'm putting the battery in to start it or something like that. It's going to suck if it doesn't start the first time, but I am almost certain that she will. Lot's of confidence here.
Thank you all for hangin' in there while I get parts one week at a time. You all are great!
I ordered Ford Motorsport 1.6 roller rockers today, along with push rod length tool, shim kit, ARP main cap and head bolts and a fender cover. Now all I need is the water pump, engine sensors, radiator hose kit and valve springs and the push rods. After that, we should be ready to roll. Finally....
Just got in my ARP main and head bolts. Also got Ford Racing roller rockers, shim kit and pushrod length tool. Springs will be here Friday, then I'll have to order injectors, water and oil pump, pick-up tube, alternator and lastly pushrods. Hellfire this thing will run in just a short while! Pics coming soon again.
The wait is killing me too man... But I'm just making sure every part in this thing is new to match the rest of the car... I'm getting a pretty good pile of parts in the living room.. HAHA
I need to start selling some old parts to help pay for the new ones and maybe get done a little faster..
Its funny you mention parts in the living room. At our local club meeting the other day the pres. asked if we had anything we wanted to donate for one of the local charity events as rewards (car cleaner, junk like that) and my wife told everyone she had a whole pile of parts she'd give away in the living room!

Well....I got my valve springs today. Had to use one shim on every exhaust and 3 shims on every intake valve... Does that seem right? All the shims were provided in the kit. But anyway, last valve spring install almost had the little locks on the valve when the freakin compressor breaks. Valve spring flies, locks fly, parts go bang. Haha... BUTTTT..... I now have a digital camera with video so... lots of pics on the way in the next couple days.
I may put the short block together tomorrow night. I just hate the humidity here, things rust over so bad real quick. Waiting...waiting...........waiting. I think I will put it together tomorrow. Heck, I need to measure pushrods anyway.
