I was actually sitting here yesterday wondering what the progress on this has been...
Good to hear you're back at it and almost done. We need a video of it running!

Hey guys thanks for not leaving me! I have been really busy haven't been home much lately...
Just over a week left and counting... Need for my alternator and pushrods to show up! I have waited for this day to come for...a long time i guess I can't remember when I started this project. Hoping to have it started and running in 10 days...
Here's some pics of the new motor minus the water pump, oil pan & valve cover bolts, and pushrods.. Hope you enjoy it cause she will be running in just a few days! I'm excited!
If it runs as good as it looks you have hit a home run......
Yep yep!
That GT40 looks real good on top of that motor!

Got my pushrods today. Intake is bolted down, ready to kick some butt. Now if I end up getting monday or tuesday off as I have planned, it will be in the car and all the finishing touches put on it. I got one of them A/C eliminators and have no idea how to put it on. Does anybody know how to? Please send me a separate e-mail if you do. Thaks again guys! See you all tomorrow.
Did you get the kit that moves the P/S pump up? or just a pulley for the A/C unit location? Btw that thing is NICE lookin man! Glad to see things are coming together for ya!

I got the kit that removes the AC totally and moves the power steering pump elsewhere. I have the 2 brackets that came with the kit and several bolts, but no instructions. lol More pics in bout 5 minutes.
Assuming its the FRPP kit or something like it, this should help. I know it shows the pulley and mount removed from the power steering pump, but you shouldnt have to do that since the bolts go in the same holes and the pulley wont be in the way. This is the drawing i used to install mine, good luck!

Guys, I got 50 PSI at the gauge, oil in the rockers.. oil going everywhere it should. I have a gut feeling that this motor will not only fire up but run right the first time, provided I don't need a tune to make it run with that cam, but it will be waiting to go up the road without any problems... I like this night.
OK. Project is done for for a while. When I was priming the oil pump, little did I know that the oil pump shaft was rubbing the block shaving all sorts of little micro pieces of metal off. The shavings got all the way up to the top of the rockers. Motor is tore down, going to the machine shop monday to get a good good bath, then I'll start from scratch again if things arent ruined. Bye guys. Talk in a few days.
I got the motor cleaned up myself. I am going to pick up new gaskets tomorrow and then I'll be back together tomorrow night. I hope to have it running in 3 days... Sorry for my mess up and further delay guys.

Yeah, you BETTER be sorry! We've been waiting for forEVER!
Good thing you found out about the oil pump issue before you started the car up and found out the hard way.
Get that thing running!
