Got my pistons just now.

Got a set of rings also. Now I get to hover around the house till Monday gets here then it's off to the machine shop to get the new pistons on the rods. Yay. Maybe I'll get to stop off and get that oil pump for the 69 pickup also...

The UPS guy said I have ordered more parts for my car than he has seen go through the warehouse. HA I like it that way.

Well I am impressed with how much they weigh... I think my Chilton manual weighs more than all 8 pistons

The pistons have great machining, everything is marked very clearly. I am going to have them put on the rods Monday, and after I get my check Tuesday night I will order the rest of the bearings, all the break in lube, and I still need to get those new heads, so it will hopefully be putting the power to the ground by the end of the month. The engine bay is getting cleaned out tomorrow, so I will have more pics to put on here. Then I'm going to paint the headers with that 2000 degree ceramic paint and see how they turn out. I am also needing different head gaskets, and more sand paper! Maybe I will fill in all the holes that arent being used in the engine bay...

Things will pick back up Monday, so let the good times roll until then.

Will do buddy. Everyone here thinks I'm a racer now because they never heard of a 306 haha. I am getting people I don't even know coming and looking at the car. GEESE... It's just a little 306...

My buddy Trevor has an old F-body Camaro and he won't even come around here with it anymore. And it's got a 383 stroker in it. HA. They must think a 306 is some special big horsepower street machine or something.

Well I got the Cerp belt for the 89 so it's back up and running again. I am going to back the car out of the garage tomorrow and wash down the motor bay and see what all it needs done to it. I am putting together a parts list for next week. Going to go to Harbor Freight and pick up a engine stand and motor hoist next coming weekend. Then I should at least have all my parts hopefully, and it will probably take me a day or two to get the motor assembled and back in the car...

Just washed down the engine bay. I'm going to get the pressure washer and finish it off tomorrow. Gotta rent one cause I don't own one yet. Other than that, nothing else is going on...

Anybody know something else I could do until then? I'm starting to get bored again...maybe it's time to clean out the cowl vent below the windshield.

Good deal, they look like good injectors.

But anyway, I dropped the rest of my parts. Pistons and rods. Block looks brand new again! Cool.

Craig at the machine shop found a nice crack by my distributor gear on the cam... So that's junk. I'm looking into a cam, spring and lifter kit.

lol, I know the feeling...keep spending is my advice eventually you'll grow numb to the pain...or just run out of money. I've got some NEVER used springs off a set of Twisted Wedge heads. I had to change them out due to cam and rockers.

Looks good though

So if you were me you would go with the Steeda #18 and the 1.7? Would I have to notch out my pistons for that? I still have the little E7's and stock upper/lower intake. hhmmmm

Reggie, do you know how much money you have saved me so far? I owe you bigtime buddy.
