UPDATE!

Here is my engine bay after cleaning and paint. Had to use a heck of a lot of sandpaper and a large wire brush to get it all done. How does it look? It's Gloss Black. I painted the headlight panel, finished off the cowl, inner fenders and everywhere else the paint shop decided to miss. There is 2 before and 2 after pics here. I haven't ran the new wiring routes yet, so it still looks a little bit crowded. That will be done tomorrow with the new plastic wire looms I bought.

Yeah I know, I just edited that in. HA. My list has doubled or even tripled in size from what I had originally planned on. GGRRRR. But hey, I like what it has become so far, with so far to go.

no your new piston should have enough notch already

if you are not planning on heads and intake anytime in the near future i'd just leave the stock cam and go with the 1.7RR's

Sorry buddy! I over-looked your post. My apologies...

I just posted 4 pics on the fresh engine bay. I will have more pics of the motor later this week hopefully if I get it back from the shop soon. They are waiting on a new cam from me. I figured since the factory replacement cam is 341.00, I would just go ahead and get a new cam, lifters, push rods and springs. My cam has a crack in the distributor gear, and some deep wear marks on the journals. I am trying to upload as many pics as I can, but I'm running out of stuff to do! HAHA not good... I'll have more pics tomorrow of the new wiring routes and stuff like that. Sorry I missed your post! Anything you want to know just ask!

Do you realize how many questions I have already answered by goign through the 1000+ pages of these forums? I could spend all day asking and getting answers and still have a million more. Winn Dixie... Is that your place of shopping? All we got here is Wal-Mart, K-Mart and Target. And they don't carry anything for my car so I don't usually shop there. We got a country market here, too. That's the gettin' place. Or, the Amish up the road sell groceries too. Yeah, I live in the middle of no where. 130 miles to the nearest big city. (Kansas City)
