well as long as we arent street racing....its healthier right? wife told me the other day shes tired of hearing about the car project...so i told her i wasnt gonna ask to buy parts anymore, i'd just spend what i need

Then Saturday i took her to the car show for the club i joined...and now shes shopping around for a early-to-mid 70's stang for herself lol

Well good job krrast, keep getting people hooked so we all can save these cars from hitting the crusher...Way to go!!

And yes this addiction is worse than crack, except I think dropping 2500 in one day on a HCI is about the same spending margin...but I wouldn't know...

D.A.R.E is common around here. By the way, my ex's father was just killed in a car crash a little while ago due to drunk driving, so I think I won't ever do that

Just got a call from the machine shop. Everything is ready to go, total charge is $695.00. They bored the block, honed it to the size of the pistons, rebuilt one good head, put in new cam bearings, new retainer, new plugs and honed the lifter bores, checked straightness of the crankshaft main caps, pressed the new pistons on the connecting rods, and it sits on the shelf down there ready for pickup. Not this Wednesday, but next I will pick it all up. I will have more pics then.

I am not a person bound on getting a smooth-as-a-Cadillac ride quality out of a Mustang... If it goes straight and starts and runs them I am happy as a pig in sh....well you get the point.

Thanks for the info.

My point exactly. I would go for the drop solid mounts but I dunno if my future long tube headers will agree with the car already being lower a little over an inch.

I heard those are pretty jarring when you hit bumps...
I'm pretty much the same when it comes to the "smoooooth" ride. As long as my car can handle good, go fast, and look good, that's all that matters to me!

the solid motor mounts will not affect having long tubes

as far as the car being lowered stay away from speed bumps
