Default Need help trying to get a tune

I just put on a H/C/I combo with trick flow heads port match to cobra intake and a stage one cam. It is a 1990 with stock 302 short block. I need a tune, but don't know much about tuning. I talked to one shop and this is the information they sent me

We can tune your car. The toughest thing about tuning the 95 and earlier Mustangs is you cannot datalog them unless you go with a aftermarket EMS like a AEM. AEMS are $1700

Do I need this type of tune with a H/C/I combo. What type of tune should I tell these guys I need.

rather than spend that kind of money for the anderson pms or tweecer just have the car dyno

the problem really occurs with sn95 computer it does not play well with cam changes....

with the 0ur fox body car using an A9L eec....

standard tuning protocol will work

timing , A/F ratio....

if you want to pull everything out of your combo get it dyno'd and a chip burned ....it's a one shot deal

hope this helps....

They can tune your car, it'll just have to be on a dyno and make several runs, adjusting the critical areas until they get it right. When they get it optimized, they'll burn the chip and plug it in.

Is this the only way of doing it. Having it burnt at the shop with the dyno. Shabby and I live by eachother and we're both at the same place in our build. We need a good tune with our mods. When I looked, I couldn't find a shop close by that burnt chips for foxes any longer. With that being said. How is having one burnt over the internet. (SCT) I know we really don't have a whole lot of options unless we want to drop a lot of money, which I don't think we want to do at this point after everything else we just did. What options do we have as far as chips. What's the best, most reliable, economical option in your opinions? Thanks.

In my opinion i would get a tweecer rt or find a old speedbrain it would be the most cost effective if you plan on modding the car more! I went with a megasquirt II on my car its cost effective and there is tons of support for our cars using that ecu.
