You should beat him easy.I have a 300zx i picked up the other day(for resale),it is slow to me.

I destroyed one of the turbo models of that car back in the day and even came off the line easy so he could spool up. My car at that time was a mildly modded 90 GT with a 3.73. The gear is what ate him up. He jumped on it when he started spooling good at the top of second and I reeled him in and walked hard through 3rd. If you are a half arsed driver you should be opening a serious can on him.

They're heavy all together, and with no turbo they take forever to get speed, my cuz had one i drove it couple times. They're comfortable but unless they're turbo u should have no problems. Try to tease him a lil...don't beat him by much. Let him talk some smack, maybe you can get some cash from it later on.

The non turbo 300 zx from the early to mid ninties was only rated at 222 hp stock and had alot less toque than your mustang. I think they weighed around 3500lb na and ran the quarter around 15.8-16.0.

it ran better than i thought he could get alot more rpm than me spec. in first with my linkages being bent for a c6 and now the aod's in so i cant pull it down and held in first but first race he jumped and i realed him in got by bout half car 2nd race he left on his 2nd horn while im still tryn to get my rpm's up and he beat me by half car 3rd race while i had 3 200lb men in my car no one jumped and i got him by 2 cars on his horn that night i also not really raced but lost a 07 cobalt lol

Guys...they make drag strips just for that reason. They even let you both start at the same exact time...

Why take a chance on the street when you can pay 8 bucks for a night of fun at the strip...8 bucks is better than a hospital bill or even having to get a new car due to a wreck...that's no fun.
