i have two questions:

1. Is it still the stock exhaust?

and

2. Is this a new car or did this problem just start out of no where?

Car is not new...it is a 93 model GT. I have only owned it for a very short period of time....I would say the exhaust system is pretty old......guessing 7 years maybe? The flowmaster mufflers look a bit newer than the mid pipes and catalytic converters do.

ok so is the smoke coming OUT of the cat(where the weld is breaking) or FROM the cat(as if something were burning off of the top of it).

Wipe down the car underneath with cleaner and a rag so that you will have a clean area to look at then take the car out and run it on the freeway for several miles until it is fully warmed up then return to your house jack the car up and check for leaks under the car with a flashlight being carefull not to touch the hot exhaust. Just remember to try and find the highest point where the fluid is dripping from and you should find your leak because if you clean the car first and then try to find the leak it should be easy to spot the area with the fresh leak. Also put cardboard under the car and if the fluid leaks on the cardboard just look up from that area. I hope this helps.
