The 93 cobras also had more surface area for the clutch for more gripping force. Phosphated gears for more durability in the t-5. A unique set of ground effects with the running horse grill. SVO tailights from the 84-86 models. The only interior color I have seen in these cars is black altough I could be wrong. Also the floor mats had cobra embroidered in them. The cars only came in black , red , or teal body color and I think that the teal car is extra unique in the fact that it is teal from the top to the bottom of the car and with no silver two tone even if ford had a teal color fox before this or a color close to teal there never was a fox with ground effects before this cobra model that had this color from top to bottom. That being said I am still a sucker for the black color. Eagle is correct on the car riding softer but handling better. Car and driver wrote a report on the 93 cobra when new and discovered this fact. The story might even be on the car and driver archives website.

Also 93 cobra was the first mustang to get 17 inch wheels and the first return of the 5 lug wheels since the 84-86 svo. That last fact never made sense to me because for still stuck with the 4-lug on the heavier v8 model and then ford also had the 5-lug on the lincoln mark 7 and they still did not offer it on the v8 mustang. Talk about a head scratcher. Do you think this change would have put ford past a certain price point with the mustang.

Same flywheel and clutch surface area as the GT LX 5.0L.

Cobra "R" = five-lug
Cobra = four-lug

The 93 Cobra R has 5 Lugs, I believe the regular 93 Cobra stuck with 4 lugs!

No they did stay with 4 Lug, I am pretty sure they used a Turbo Coupe rear to save money.
