Question How much can I assemble before installing the motor back into the engine bay?

I want to know how much I can assemble and still get the engine into the bay. I was thinking that I can get heads, valce covers, all the pulleys, dist./cap/wires and headers. I was thinking I can bolt cherry picker to the lower intake manifold. I hope this is possible, it would save some time and headache.

If its possible, tell me what other points I can attach the cherry picker. Thanks

what you have describe is perfectly acceptable.....

you can also attach to the heads...

you can do the headers if you have shortys

long tube you just lay them in the bay engine

drop the motor and then bolt them up

You will still have to hit it with a timing lite to do all your finally timing adjustments after the motor is in and running

I'm not sure if you can get the headers on there and then have enough room to put it in though.
You should be able to get the water pump, balancer, brackets, and pulleys on there, just be careful of the radiator if it's in the car now.
