Default Aod transmission concerns should I keep it?

I have 91 coupe with a AOD tranny. It seems that the previous owner severely neglected this car.I got most of the glitches out.Now I am concerned that the AOD is under performing. It feels like slip but is this tranny worth the rebuild or should I go in a different direction. The engine isn't hyperformance.

if you want the car to be automatic then keep it! try changing the fluid and filter, and go from there.

Like was said before if you don't mind the auto keep it. You never know some times a fluid and filter change will make it work like brand new. It always seem for the most part no one ever changes the transmision fluid until some thing is wrong....

Good luck

Try changing the fluid and filter I think its like 10 or 12 bolts I think 10mm then there is two holding the filter in... if that doesnt work then you could either replace it with another AOD, rebuild that one, or what most would do in a case of staying with an automatic switch to the C-4 its a simple and easy swap since the C-4 and AOD housings are basically the same.... also the C-4 is alot stronger... the only down fall is you lose your finale gear if you go to the C-4...
