Default What should I do with this MAF?

I looked into getting a dyno tune. The guy was telling me "my 76mm C & L MAF is crap, and any MAF with a sample tube is junk." Is this true. I was under the impression C & L was one of the best. He also stated with the sample tubes you could get different problems, including idling issues. He recommended the 90mm MAF from a Ford Lightning. I asked if 90mm was overkill and he seems to strongly believe not at all. He said it could solve a lot of problems. Should I keep my C & L or does he have a point and I should switch to the 90mm Lightning? I do have idle issues during cold early morning starts before car warms up. I figured it was junk plugs (bosch). Swapping to autolites, getting ignition box, and msd distributor tomorrow Thanks.

I believe everyone has their own opinions on the subject I know for a fact that down here one of our biggest ford performance shops Powered By Ford told me the same thing, that they're junk. Me and a few of my friends run them and honestly haven't had any problems with them I've had mine on 3 different variations and three different sample tubes(19lb,24lb,and now 30lb) on my motor and it has performed admirably. Have you tried changing the actual mass air to see if that's the problem your having with your idle issues? Maybe borrow a friends?

I haven't. I never even considered it to be the MAF until today. I still have the stock one. I guess I could try that. I was just suprised when he said it was junk and then recommended a 90mm MAF.

It's worth a shot it's just two screws and a plug, pull it try the other one. Worth a shot just to see before you start spending money.
