i have been wanting to do away with my wing completely.. i dont know why but i just dont like em. does it really make a difference?
Do you have the stock wing?
In all honesty, when drag racing, a wing/spoiler will probably cause more drag than helpful downforce...

It definitely takes a lot of speed for a wing to have a real effect. Wings on road cars are almost entirely for looks.
The funny thing is the honda's with the huge fast and the furious wing which is not effective for the speed those cars (stock) can attain. They also only provide rear down force on a front wheel drive car lol.
Fun Fact: F1 cars make enough down force at speed to be able to drive upside down...

There has actually been talk of tracks with round tunnels for that kind of racing... I will try to find a link on it, because I read it just recently...

You can do away with the wing if you want, the look takes some getting used to though. There was another thread that had pictures of hatchbacks without wings not too long ago.

for the most part they are like the wings on a penguin basically have no function....
Apparently someone's never seen March of the Penguins ;-)
On land they're useless, but underwater they use them as flippers, and those buggers can really haul!
My wife's a Discovery Channel/Animal Planet addict, so I get to see all that stuff. But that actually was a really good movie!

the ostrich uses his wings for balance when running, and for keeping cool in the heat. same goes for his retard-brother, the emu
i wish my excuse was that my wife was a discovery addict..i had to volunteer at an exotic petting zoo in high school to get community service points so i could graduate
id keep the wing..they dont cause drag, and with the bulky gt rear bumper, the ass-end wont look right without a wing. in fact, ford advertised the wing as functional, and racers realized the rear bumper is like a "parachute"
