Default Does Anybody Else Have A '88 With A Vinyl Headliner?
So the headliner in my car is starting to fall down after 21 years. I took it to a small local shop that does complete interiors on classic cars. I told the guy my issue and said it was a vinyl headliner. He had a confused look on his face and said he never heard of an 88 with vinyl. Come to think of it when i was looking at kits online i never saw a vinyl kit. They were all cloth for my year. Does anybody else have a vinyl liner or was mine not factory?

Thats what i was thinking. It also has vinyl sun visors. Im having him put in a cloth liner now. I just need to get new sun visors because i know its going to drive me nuts that they dont match.

My 89 has a vinyl headliner... I have seen a couple in the junkyard with vinyl, too. BUT, the only time I have seen vinyl is when a sunroof was present.

My 1981 mustang had a sunroof and had vinyl headliner and sun visors. They must be ones with sunroofs only?? in case it rains and it wipes off and doesnt soak in the cloth?? Just an idea

My 88 w/ t-tops has a vinyl headliner. I think they used vinyl because they knew the tops were going to leak and figured it might hold up a little longer..

Have you called around?? I think I could get it here but it would probly cost so much to ship it to you..... If you ever heard of Princess Auto?? I think they have rolls of vinyl there that you can buy. Not sure tho... let me know how you make out.

Mine is a 92 with a Sunroof and it has a Vinyl Headliner too.
