ok i got a 1989 mustang lx with no ac and pulled heater core out today and it has ofset in one of the tubes ,and i ordered one from uapa and they gave me one with straight tubes so was wondering if any body knows the difference

I don't want to sound like Mr. Obvious here, but if it fits right, and connects up good then you shouldn't have a problem. Just make sure it doesn't leak.....

no thats my problem the pipes dont line up if there straight so i need the one with the ofset in it just trying to find out if they sent me the wrong one ,like is the one with ac different from no ac ,because my mustang has no ac

Well in that case, I would return the heater core you have and get the correct one. You need it to fit exactly the way the other one did to prevent complications later down the road.

ya i hear ya just trying to find out why i got this one and make sure i get right one i see the one with straight connectors on ebay and it was for a cobra so how do i now how to get one with ofset in the one tube

Your parts store should be able to hook you up with the correct one. Ordering from online sources is hit and miss, sometimes you get the right part....sometimes you don't.

so has anyone had that problem with musang uses the heater core with straight connectors and mine has one pipe with offset and my car is lx with no ac is that right

My 91 lx 5.0 has off-set pipes and it has ac, maybe your ac was bypassed before you got it

If your car came from the factory with a/c then you need a heater core for a stang that came from the factory with a/c even though you or someone else may have removed the a/c system. Thats the difference between the two heater cores. The reason the pipes dont line up is because is your car more than likely had a/c at one time. So you need to return the heater core and get one for a car with a/c so it will fit correctly.
