Default Can't decide which wheels to get?

It's time to upgrade to 17" wheels and I'm having trouble deciding between either the FR500 or Bullitt. Which ever one it will be I know I want black. Here's my options, Bullitt 9" rear and 8" up front, or FR500 9" all around. I'm leaning toward Bullitt so I don't have any issues with rubbing up front since they have 17"x8". If the FR500 made 17"x8" I would definetly run with those, But I really want to avoid rubbing issues. What do you guys think?

Unfortunetly I haven't found the FR500 wheels in 8". I'm beginning to think they don't make them. Seems my only option if I run with those is 9's all around and some rubbing issues. Which really causes my dilema. I want to avoid rubbing.

Same problem i have....really want the fr500 but dont want to deal with the rubbing. If they made it in an 8" up front, i would already have them

Just get steering limiters and do some slight modification to the inner fender wells and run the wheel weights that o on the inside of the rim... I have 17x9 bullitts on my car and the only thing i did was notch out the inner fender wells and use the inner wheel weights and they work fine now......

lol ok I gotta bite...I had on one of my cars 17x9's (91GT) and no issues but I think the backspacing was ok to allow it....well if you need help making up your mind ..i found some motivational pics...sorry they arent black though

the 2nd pic is an 18x9 on the rear...but I stuck with 17x9 rear and 8's up front

What color is your car?

My car is blue for now. It will be repainted in the future so I'm planning ahead. I'll replace the blue top to black and interior is being changed to black. The top is still in good condition with the paint, so I have some time. But I have an overall goal for my project. I think I'm going to run bullitt 8inch up front and 9inch in back. I cant see the FR500 9inch not rubbing up front with everything I've read. I dont mind a fender roll, but cutting, tubbing, or pounding in fenderwells is not a road I wish to travel. Its too bad. Because I wish I could get away with FR500 9inch up front. I plan on buying these rims from american muscle. I'm using an sn95 junk yard dog swap to 5 lug and disc brake set up. Ideally I would put FR500 9" up front and 10.5 in the rear. I've realized through research this is a bolt on pipe dream. There is to much involved to get this to work. Bummer. 8" and 9" Bullitts it is I guess. Why such a big gap between the tire and fender lip on that second pic?

I do believe the gap is there because he has the entire car gutted and is completely redoing it from the ground up.

Yeah I got mine from AmericanMuscle, the 17's. And just to add to what Steed had said, the car is gutted , no fuel tank, as of yet etc. But also after my wife did the 5 lug conv, she hadnt adjusted the LOWER CONTROL arms to close the gap. For now its just a means to push it around. I can tell you I think about 2 months ago I was contemplating the same thing you were. And all it took was seeing this pic and reading the article it kinda got me thinkng to.....but I was in no position to roll or bend stuff becasue I had aleady had the car painted. Hope this helps

I see Bullitt's EVERYWHERE around here. It's not that they don't look good, it's just like that song you like a lot but the radio plays it every 10 minutes....

My vote is for the FR500's!

If this is your project car i would go with what you really want. it will take a lot of work and modification but thats why its a project. thats why its a project. dont get discouraged, if there is a will theres a way.
