Well, the mini mod fest has begun... it was going to take 2 minutes... but this one turned into at least a 1/2 hour.... Garry swapped out the center armrest pad and plate - but also removed the clip and metal u spring just to see and then we couldn't figure out how to get it back in... I know - no comments!!!

... it wasn't shutting right before it was removed... so I thought to shave a bit off the tip and it worked... that's why it was busted in the first place... someone got frustrated and broke it...

A little creative problem solving goes a long way! Pics to follow tomorrow!

The latch is very common to breaking, some of those internal parts aren't available anymore.

hmmm, glad our latch wasn't broken!! It was a very, very easy mod gone bad because the U piece of metal didn't go in "logically"... lolol and as it seems the center console latch was a bit too "long" for the hook in area... it was a pain in the ass to get to release... so we shaved it down and Voila!!!

If it stops raining we can do some more stuff - this is nuts

Transmission flush and filter change.... I am going to buy what I need for this (our friend owns a shop)... anything specific I need to look for? Can I get a filter and fluid from AutoZone/NAPA or is it critical I get a specific type?

Synthetic/regular?

Fuel Injectors... we have them... how do I know if they need to be cleaned, or whatever....

Yes you should be able to get every thing you need at the auto parts store......

i will let some else answer the fluid question.....

i'm 5sp kinda guy.....

if the car is running fine there is 99% chance they don't need cleaning........
