Are you sure you are not just showing off your clean engine compartment?lol

I'm planning on getting the in-fender kit, too. Keep us posted!

i got the "in fender" design on my car, it was advertised to have 5 more ponies. it definatly made a difference from stock. it should make a small difference on your car as it will suck in colder and less restricted air. just don't drive in a flood...

I dont know what color exactly. Its a dark red/ maroon.

I was wondering if there is more air to be sucked in on the fender cone style, rather than my box style.

Thanks for the posts. My engine bay looking good?! thanks!

The idea of the fender style is to keep it from pulling in the hot underhood air. The air inside the fender is cooler, so yes it's better.

And if you get in a situation where you're in deep enough water to get it up to the air filter, that's your own fault and not the fender style cold air. It's not like the under bumper ram air that would scoop up water off the road, the filter is 3 feet off the ground with a fenderwell cold air.

Eagle said it!

I have the BBK in fender and noticed a bit of difference when I pit it it.

Its not a huge difference on the stock style, just a little better routing material and a better filter. Just my 2 cents

Well, Im only thinking I could maybe pick up a few horseys and feel a little more pep, or throttle response cause the filter is more open in the fender cone style maybe than my box filter. My box filter IS a K&n so Im good there.

Maybe when I can spend some $ on the car Ill be lookin for a fender style , maybe get a used one or something, but Im not going to be spending $250 or so on a brand new one , when mine currently is not that different.

Just my thoughts on it.

BBK's Fenderwell Cold Air Intake is $160, not bad for a few more hp's and a clean look..

You have a good setup...it's the open element in the bay you want to avoid: unless you want to spend money and just get the cleaner look the performance gains will be about zero...it's the boosted engines that demand that in the fender kit...
