Sure it was me? I don't remember saying capping off the port would hurt.
That tube acts like a vacuum pump to pull out the crankcase pressure. When it's vented, it's allowed to escape rather than needing to pull it out.

So a oil breather cap would do the same thing as that hose does??

You have to remember, if the PCV valve is functional, and you leave the TB to filler neck tube open. Its just like a vacuum leak. It draws air in that is not being read by the MAF. Just my Experience
