Default Need help with after market exhaust system

I'm kind of toying with adding an aftermarket exhaust system (true dual exit) to my 5.0 liter 84 gt 350. I've done some research online, but I can only find set ups for 87 and later models. I know its possible to add real dual exhaust, but I'm not sure how. Is going for a used system a good route? Any suggestions? Keep in mind, I'm on a budget.

You'll need to get a double hump crossmember. I'm not sure about the manifolds if they need to be replaced or not.

You need a double hump transmission crossmember, then you can use the 1987 and up style exhaust. Everything should bolt right on.

you will also need a shop to weld some hangers in place on the passenger side of your car

Thanks. Any idea how mush all of this would cost? by the way, how hard is it to install the system at home?

the hard part is the tranny mount on the new cross member, it has to be spot weld in place.you can mark it on the cross member and then take it to a weld shop.
