Default how to remove intake on a 1987 5.0 Mustang

well the title says it all, i just got my 87 5.0 HO motor and i am going to take off the intake manifold for 2 reasons 1) i am going to paint it blue, and 2) i heard it is a lot easier to hoist the engine into the car with the intake off (i am swapping my 3.8 for this 5.0) is there any truth to that?

anyway, any tips on how to remove it?

It's not too bad to take off, just take your time and one step at the time.
