Default need air condition help

i have a 1986 ford mustang that i cant figure out a air conditioner problem. my compressor isn't cycling. only when i jump stright from the battery. i did replace the cycling switch, and check all fuses that i could find. can any one give me a clue what could be wrong?

Is the system charged? Do you have power before the pressure switch?
