Sorry about your painful lesson. Don't they teach auto shop in High School anymore? And isn't there a warning on the cap about opening it with a hot engine? Live and learn.... Feel for you, I have had a few close calls and one trip to the hospital for stitches because of working on mechanical things. Every time I have been hurt it been because I was in a hurry.

I hope you get well soon man. Burns are no joke. I pulled a deep fryer over on my self when I was only 2 and I got 1st, 2nd, and 3rd degree burns. You shouldn't scar up bad. The only thing that you can still see from my burns is where the 3rd burns are. You should def use sunscreen on that spot for the rest of your life.

Dude that looks WAY PAINFUL!!

Like Herc said, put sunscreen on that spot from now on. I didn't think you got burnt that bad man. You're lucky, it could've been a lot worse.

Get well soon

Sorry about your mishap..
It reminds me about something that happened to a friend in 1978.
It was dark out and he wanted to check the water in his battery, he did not have a flashlight so he used a cigarette lighter. When he removed the caps on the battery and lit the lighter to look inside, guess what happened. KABOOM!! It blew up in his face.
He was not injured just a few acid burns here and there.. Another lesson learned..
