What's the intention with the car? Daily driver? Smog a concern?

Hey thanks for welcoming me. Well I want to keep this car as a daily driver, but I just want to get some more stuff to go with what I already have. I ve already eliminated the smog stuff. I ve been told to get a trick flow stage2 cam and some 165AFR heads and then if I decide to go with a 347 or 331 later I ll have the parts already.

The 165 heads are a good choice but they'd be small on a stroker engine. The TFS 2 cam is a bit much with a 302 unless you compliment it with corresponding parts but it'd work fine in a stroker. I'd say some bigger heads than the 165 with the TFS 2 cam would be best.

If you're pretty sure you're gonna take the stroker route later on, it's better to get the right parts now so I'd suggest the aforementioned TFS 2 cam and AFR 185's. You'll also need 30lb injectors and a 255lph fuel pump for a stroker but your 24lb'ers will do for now while you still have a 302.

I dont know the specs on that cam but you may want to check valve-piston clearance with the stock pistons

Anywhere from $1400-$1500 for the AFR 185's. I think mine were $1411 from jegs. I just checked and they are the same price: AFR SB-Ford Outlaw Street/Race Aluminum Cylinder Heads - JEGS I got the 58cc combustion chambers for higher compression.

I can almost guarantee that you'd need to flycut the pistons to gain clearance with AFR 185's and a TFS 2.

if you are building a 347 i recommend going with a custom grind for the cam rather than one off the shelf....

FYI..... the cam should be the last element of your build......
