The Mustang computer is what he needs. The Mercury computer isn't exactly the best for a performance vehicle.
P heads would make for a torquey stroker but would limit it's power.
Just curious, but what kind of numbers (TQ and HP) could I see from a 331 with "P" heads, tubular GT40 intake, and [insert suggested cam]???

Wow, just with a GT40 setup?! Those numbers are exactly what I'm aiming for. I would love to get my '94 anywhere into the 12's. Even a high 12 would be fantastic.
I might have to take my wing off though, that way I don't start to fly!

1991 Mustang 5.0 Gt Convertible. Daily Driver!
K&N CAI w/Summit Mass Airflow Sensor, BBK Trottle Body, BBK 70mm spacer, Mac shorty headers, H-pipe (no cats), Mac muffers, pipes dumped at back w/no tips. AOD. Drilled/slotted front rotors. Purchase it last year, been fixing it ever since. It was a lovely mess. haha.

Can anyone tell me why the Exploders/Mountaineers have a GT40 setup but are running the 19# injectors???
I thought that was kinda odd when I saw those yellow injectors sticking out...
If I do stroke my engine, it will have to wait til next year, when I get my income taxes again. Hopefully my budget will allow a 331 sooner than later.
But, I think it'd be safe to expect around 270-280 RWHP out of a 302 with the GT40P heads, my tubular intake, and probably a Steeda #19 cam. Which is still a good jump up from where I'm at now.

Just to be 100% sure that I got the "P" heads, I found the stamp, and sure enough they said "GTP". Good thing I originally bought my BBK longtubes, cuz now I'm set.
