Default Shp Dart 363 build info need help.

I've been lookin at purchasing a 363 cu block. Its a shp block from dart , my question is how hard would it be to get 580 -600 fwhp & would this be a reliable street motor at this level. The car is just a street strip 1990 vert. Dart claims its good for 600 at the flywheel. also does any know of any 363 N/A builds that I can get some info from any help is highly appreciated.

I'm by no means an expert and don't have any experience with that specific block, but I really don't see you making much more than about 475-500 at the crank without some FI. Now you start playing around with boost and you shouldn't have any problems at all making an easy 600-675 BHP without causing any serious problems. I would say that Dart is probably playing it pretty safe with that 600 bhp limit, especially considering any halfway taken care of stock 100+k block is usually good for up to about 600 hp provided the right build and tuning.

just curious what is the signficance of the 580-600 fwhp.....

what will be your primary use of the car

what will be your H/C/I combo

most important what is the budget for this build......

also what are your plans for suspension upgrade for the power level you desire.....

there is much more to building a car than shear horsepower

Suspension mods full upr set up front and rear. Car will see about 30 to 50 miles a week, maybe 120 on a good weekend cruise, 580 600 hp is my goal, any thing more might be streetable but whats the point . Finances????? That remains to be seen. I have a God father who runs nothin but blue oval and gang load of blue oval pals and owns 3 mustangs and a 34 coupe not to mention the 5 hardcore 5.0 boys I work with. I just purchased a trick flow intake for 200 and offered countless other parts for free or little to next to nothing. So as far as parts go I'm covered. H/C/I efi Edlebrock victor jr. intake and heads cam is will be custom lookin at 264/240 .576/.555 - 110 LSA 111.5 ICL but still playing with those figures.. I wanna suprise all them.

Default Power adder

Yeah I've been lookin at turbos and superchargers, specifically the blowzilla or the turbotime kit. The stealth factor of the turbo kit is really the kicker. Both have great low end torque, but the turbo always has room for improvement. But like I said 600 should get this heavy horse into the low 11,s high 10. I really want the stealth factor.Check the kit out at www.turbotime psi.com and tell me what you think.

This was his last build. Needless to say this is badass, and I have seen the video of it running. 306 shifting at 9500. Freaking WOW
