I owned a very nice 03 Cobra for 4 years. Due to a baby and a new house, I had to sell my Cobra. I had $40K invested. Due to a deteriating economy I sold the car for $22K. I told myself I would never make that mistake again, but I wanted something to help fill the void.

My brother picked up a junk-yard bound 1990 Foxbody GT. The car was wrecked, very rough and probably not worth fixing. He stripped the car down to the bare bones and fixed/replaced almost everything he could while trying to keep from spending more then $5K. With a fresh coat of paint, new 17" wheels/tires, some elbow grease under the hood and on the interior the Fox was born again. I recently just added a budget turbo kit.... and have plans to hit the dyno. I bought the Turbo kit new for under $1500 and I can’t tell you how impressed I am. I have less then $8,000 total in this car. Here are some before and after pics…

It's going to be awhile for the vid. My wife is due with our second child any day now. I still have to button everything up with the turbo install, put some bigger injectors in and a bigger fuel pump then schedule a dyno visit. I will film the dyno trip. Hopefully the tranny will hold up. That is the only part of the car that I haven't gone through. My 03 Cobra was pushing 700 RWHP. I will be happy with a moddest 400-450 RWHP on 7-10 lbs of boost . Probably dyno it early fall. should be fun to drive... My first Turbo... I have had centri's and Roots style blowers... never a hairdryer

I bought the wheels on ebay too.... OE Wheel distributors... I paid around $400 for the set. Damn good price and excellant quality. I was nervous about the quality (China), but every wheel ran true and balanced with hardly any weight.

How is the quality of the Turbo kit? Did you upgrade the Turbo or go with the standard one that went with the kit. There done some changes to there standard kit looks like a pretty good deal for the money...very nice car

I'm in the process of doing my stang up in a similar fashion. I'm fabricating my own twin turbo kit. But first I gotta finish my 351w build.
